A student who is dressed like a dancer, will strive harder to be the best they can be
At the Studio D uniform shop, we sell most of the items listed below including new embroidered jackets, embroidered crossovers, skirts and accessories. Dance is an art form and the discipline of good grooming is essential from our tiny dancers to our seniors as part of dance training.
Dance is a discipline and our uniform is set to put all students in the correct frame of mind, helping them learn and enjoy themselves and giving them a sense of equality, pride and belonging to Studio D.
The Studio D uniform is designed not just to look professional, but it allows teachers to see that dancers have proper placement and to ensure dance technique is correct and safe.
Uniform Shop

All uniform items and ballet shoes (up to size 3) are to be purchased from the Studio D uniform shop. Orders may be placed in Olivia’s in tray during the week ONLY with EXACT payment. Please note that payment must be made BEFORE uniform can be collected.
The uniform shop is open during the school term only, in the kitchen area of Hall 4, Fairway Avenue (Studio D), and the hours are as follows:
Saturdays 10.30am - 11:30am (all year during school terms)
Thursdays 6.30pm – 7.30pm (Term 1 only).
Jazz and tap shoes need to be black and can be purchased from Energetiks
Bentleigh.

Please make sure that ballet and jazz shoes are "split sole" and not "full sole"
shoes.
Black Studio D crossovers with logo can be worn in cold weather and are
available for all levels. New look Studio D embroidered jackets with optional
first name are available. Please email Olivia for more details.
Second Hand Uniform
Kate Judge has again kindly volunteered to look after all second hand uniform and her email address is b.judge@optusnet.com.au.
Anyone who wishes to sell something has to make sure it is clean and in good condition, as well as being placed in a clear plastic snap lock bag with their name and contact details clearly marked along with their asking price. The goods are on consignment only and will be returned to the owner if not sold after 6 months. Please note a small fee is applicable to all second hand items.
Kate is able to help you most Saturdays during school term between 9.30am – 11.30am from the kitchen area of Hall 4 (Studio D).Grooming
Hair must be worn in a neat bun with Studio D bun bow to all classes. No fringes allowed. Neat ponytails are acceptable in hip hop and adult classes.
A neat appearance is required at all times with the correct uniform being worn to every class.
No jewellery or watches are to be worn for safety reasons.
Water Bottle
Please bring a water bottle to class.
Technique Classes
Ballet or jazz uniform must be worn for all technique classes.
Ballet or jazz shoes may be worn.
Hip Hop
Black 3/4 leggings (girls), black shorts or tracksuit pants (boys),
black Studio D t shirt. Black split sole jazz shoes or black dance sneakers are
acceptable.
Boys
Black Studio D t shirt, black shorts, (black tracksuit pants in
winter), black ballet shoes, black jazz shoes and black tap shoes.
Adults
Neat casual clothes suitable for dance. Black tap shoes, black
split sole jazz shoes (black jazz sneakers are acceptable) and pink ballet
shoes. (Black for males).
Tiny Dancers (2 year olds)
Pink dance tutu, pink ballet tights, pink headband, pink ballet
shoes - no buns are required for our Tiny Dancers.
Little Princes - Boys Only (3-6 year olds)
Black Studio D t shirt, black shorts, (black tracksuit pants in
winter), black ballet shoes, black tap shoes.
Pre
School Rainbows (3 year olds)
Pink dance tutu, pink ballet tights, pink headband, pink ballet
shoes and black tap shoes are required for Rainbows
only.

School Stars and Moonbeams (4 year olds) and Pre School Diamonds (3 and 4 year
